This rectangular side plate was thrown and altered using a gritty earthenware. I added a layer of slip poured on prior to drawing/decorating, then the piece was glaze fired to cone 04. It is microwave and dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended, especially on the exposed red clay portions.
